We would rather the answer came from your catalogue.
Working with museums and collections is the partnership we are most interested in. Today a visitor pointing a camera at one of your objects gets an answer assembled from whatever the open web holds about it. We would rather that answer came from your catalogue, in your words, with your attribution on it.
Further out is a guide built on your own collection and running under your own name: your records as the source, your objects, and your institution's name on the result rather than ours. None of it is self-serve, so it starts as a conversation about what your catalogue holds, what condition it is in, and what you want a visitor to walk away knowing. If you hold a collection and that sounds worth an hour, write to us.
Deleting your account is permanent and immediate.
Open your profile inside the app and choose Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and immediate: your conversations, your identification history, your place history and the photos you uploaded all go with it, and we cannot restore any of it afterwards. Any subscription is cancelled at the same moment. We ask you to confirm twice, and to type DELETE, because there is no way back.
Signing in is required, so nothing you identify is public. The capture coordinates a photo carries are stored with its identification so you can find the place again, and your history stays attached to your account only so you can come back to it. You can delete all of it from your profile at any time, and email us for a copy of it. What outlives a deleted account is the research about the places and works themselves, which no longer points back to you. The privacy policy sets out the detail.
